Scott is on a mission to make safer cities. He leads the company’s vision to connect first responders to the millions of security cameras across our cities to make safer places to live and work. Prior to founding vGrid, Scott held several leadership roles at Cisco. As a senior sales engineer, he worked extensively with public safety and service provider customers in Europe, North America, and New Zealand to design and deliver complex network and mobility solutions. As head of product management for Cisco’s first CCTV business unit, he delivered a new generation of physical security solutions.
Scott and his wife are blessed with a kinetic family of three young boys — each born in a different country. The London son is a top honor student and gifted musician. The California son leads his basketball team in ‘3 pointers’ and memorizes NFL stats. The Auckland son is a gifted singer, keyboardist and aspiring artist. Scott is a pilot, loves cars and hopes to encourage at least one of his sons into off road motorcycling.
“I’ve come to know and deeply respect the people who run towards harm’s way for a living. My reward now is engineering ways to make their jobs of protecting communities safer and more effective”

“The most motivating factor for joining the vGRID founding team was the chance to create and deliver a first to market technology that will protect and save lives on a global scale. I’ve never had that opportunity in my career“
Chris has led vGRID’s product development from inception to the latest release. Chris is passionate about cultivating an engineering culture where a deep understanding of customer needs comes first. He drives his teams to design user experiences that prize simplicity no matter how complex the feature. His focus on innovation applied to user needs and simplicity is the cornerstone of vGRID’s development organization. Chris believes that to deliver a world class product, customers have to be part of all product development phases. Because of this, he and his team are regularly in front of customers who love seeing him personally engaged asking for input.
When not buzzing about technology and building Safer City solutions, Chris enjoys learning the great game of golf, exploring the outdoors, and relaxing at the beach with friends and family.
“It’s an engineer’s dream to use your technical skills for a mission that saves lives. It’s a profound honor for the opportunity to do so with clean sheet of paper.”
