vGRID safer city is the first service to give schools, public services, business, and private citizens the ability to share security cameras with First Responders.
WHY WE DO IT
vGRID is not a video security solution re-packaged for Public Safety. We don’t sell or manufacture cameras and video management systems, nor do we compete with the manufacturers and resellers who do.
We leverage the install base of camera assets from the public, commercial and private sector across a city and deliver first responders the ability to reach these resources. vGRID is both an innovative technology solution and commercial model that motivates the community to share cameras and cost with public safety to build a video connected city. They do so because it’s easy, private, and affordable to have a direct connection to first responders that enhances response when they call for help. They are willing partners who want a closer relationship with the people who protect them and be part of the formula that makes their community safer.
vGRID builds a trusted bridge to the community through a shared camera.
HOW WE DO IT
MAKE IT EASY TO SHARE CAMERAS
A video connected city purposed for safety can only be successful if the community is willing to share cameras because the value is worth the cost and effort. Barriers need to be eliminated to create adoption.
vGRID solves the privacy, security, interoperability, and network barriers so it’s easy and affordable to share cameras with first responders.
MAKE IT AFFORDABLE TO IMPLEMENT AND SCALE
A vGRID video connected city can be implemented within operational budgets of most any size city because our commercial model is designed for low cost of entry and scale is achieved by allocating the expense of building an intelligent video network between public safety and the community who shares cameras.
vGRID is a pure cloud solution that leverages existing camera resources and internets with technology innovation that eliminates the need, complexity, and engineering cost of designing for interoperability to many different and proprietary security vendors.
This gives us the capability to offer a simple and affordable annual subscription fee for both the first responder desk and premise that shares cameras.
REACH A DIVERSE CAMERA BASE
VGRID provides one simple browser interface for all first responder to see a diverse camera base coming from many premises and different security vendors with proprietary solutions that don’t interoperate for the needs of a video connected city
vGRID’s most important innovation for First Responders is fast and immediate access, search, and view capabilities of shared video cameras across the city from many different sources.
vGRID gives the First Responder desk the ability to apply location information from a 911 caller or other sources to return relevant camera feeds and review quickly from one or more premises in proximity via address, tree view, or map search navigation with the speed required for emergency situations.
WE DRIVE ADOPTION WITH YOU
When a city implements vGRID’s Safer City Solution, we are there to help create adoption in the communities you serve. The more cameras connected
to your video connected city, the higher return.
vGRID provides resources and a proven go-to-market blueprint to reach the public service, commercial, and private community with a vast base of cameras to share.
